The lanes first opened in the 1960/1961 season...need to nail down the exact date.
Tom and Vera Guthrie were owners/managers for many years in the 1960s and mid-1970s. Mick Walker sold his partnership in 1967 and purchased Classic Lanes in Powell. Guy Bjorklund ran the lanes by 1978 and then the Witt family starting in 1980 (per museum sources). In 1969, the 30th Annual Wyoming Men's State Bowling Tournament held the Team Event here in conjunction with the Doubles & Singles Event at Bronco Lanes in Worland WY. In 1973, the 28th Annual Wyoming Women's State Bowling Tournament was held here in conjunction with Bronco Lanes in Worland WY. In 1978, the 30th Annual Wyoming Men's State Bowling Tournament held the Team Event here in conjunction with the Doubles & Singles Event at Bronco Lanes in Worland WY. In 1996, the 51st Annual Wyoming Women's State Bowling Tournament held the Team Event here in conjunction with the Doubles & Singles Event at Bronco Lanes in Worland WY. In 2000, the 52nd Annual Wyoming Men's State Bowling Tournament held the Team Event here in conjunction with the Doubles & Singles Event at Hurricane Lanes in Worland WY. |
